Valentine's Day

Perhaps its the perpetual cynic in me, but I just can't force myself to feel extra lovey-dovey on Valentine's day. If I am going to be in a "romantic" mood, I will do it when I want, where I want. Ok, I do admit that its nice getting flowers and whatnot, but I would rather get it on a day where I don't think that my significant other feels obliged to get me such things. To all the men out there, don't feel obligated to do Valentine's day things just because some card/flower/chocolate companies tell you to. If you are "romantic" other days of the year, I think your gal will come to learn that those are the truly significant, meaningful events, because they really are..."Just because".
